Last year WDC put on Starstruck, an outdoor dance party and we're doing it again on the 1st of March! This time it's a fundraiser, with all proceeds going to support bigger and better parties! Held at secret location (check here on the day for site and directions), 1st March, with Jetpilot, Helix, Rich D Rich, fiDJit and a guest DJ. This is a burner ( http://www.burningman.com ) party so costumes are encouraged!
We will go ahead drizzle or shine, but if the weather is really bad then check the website for updates. We'll be using the following Saturday (8th March) as a backup date in this case.
The site is 20 minutes from Wellington central. If you can't share a car, buses go to within a 20 minute walk, or a taxi with friends from the bus stop is very cheap.
Update:We've decided to call it in - the rain started pouring as we were almost setup. We have an indoor location, txt 021 101 7308 for details.

Come join us for a night of strange experiments in sound and visuals. Tesla coils, lab coats, and strange coloured liquids are all likely to feature at Weird Pscience. Special guest COSM (Certified Organic Sound Machine) will be performing his unique live psy breaks spectacular. With support from Helix who'll be taking us on a journey through trance, and JetPilot who'll be breaking out the electro. Update: Two more Wellington DJs, Nick Pearce and fiDJit , have now been confirmed! Weird Pscience is shaping up to be one wicked and dance-fantastic event.

Wellington Dance Collective is about creating community. At an event, I think we're about creating community on the dancefloor. A community that is open, accepting, fun-loving, and reates safe space for personal expression. We support outrageous costumes, glamorous makeup, fun accessories and enthusiastic dancing. If it makes dancing more fun, we want it! Off the floor, I think we're about extending and deepening that community. Building on our shared interest in music, dance and great events. Talking and thinking about music, dance, community, and great events. Seeking out and intentionally supporting the djs, clubs and promoters that have great events. Throwing our own great events. Taking our own costumes and accessories.
